  1. In a pot add oil and fry onions until golden. Add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste and chicken. Fry for 10 minutes until changes colour
  2. Add tomatoes, potatoes and all the mentioned powdered and whole spices.
  3. Cook very well until oil starts separating.
  4. Add a little water and cover and cook until potatoes and chicken are tender
  5. Now pour over 4 cups water and add soaked rice to it.
  6. Add green chillies and cook for first 10 minutes on medium to high flame
  7. When water reduces and is about to evaporate completely then cover with a lid and cook on dum on very slow flame
  8. Mix well before serving
