  18. Take 2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  19. Take 2 teaspoon coriander powder
  20. Prepare 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  21. Get Salt as per taste
  22. Prepare 5 tablespoon Oil around
  23. Take As needed Coriander leaves as needed
  24. Take 1/2 cup curd

This is one of my favorite childhood meals. Tahri (also tehri, tehari or tayari) is a yellow rice dish in Awadhi cuisine. Spices are added to plain cooked rice for flavor and colour. In one version of Tehri, potatoes are added to the rice.

Steps to make Tehri:
  1. Slice onion,chop tomatoes, potatoes and all veggies
  2. Take oil add cumin seeds and whole garam masala
  3. Add sliced onion and cook till translucent
  4. Add crushed green chillies and ginger garlic paste now and cook till raw aroma goes
  5. Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they get soft
  6. Add dry masala at this point and leave till oil separates
  7. And veggies and potatoes with water and salt leave on sim till they are cooked
  8. Once cooked add curd and coriander leaves leave for 5 minutes
  9. Add water and let it come on boil then add washed rice and leave till it gets cooked
  10. Tehri is ready have hot
