  1. Take 2 cups (500 gms) rice
  2. Make ready 1/2 kg Potatoes cut in cubes
  3. Prepare 2 medium onions sliced
  4. Take 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  5. Prepare 2 big tomatoes sliced
  6. Prepare 1/2 cup yougart
  7. Take 1/4 cup oil or ghee
  8. Get 4 _6 Green chillies
  9. Get 2 tbsp Podina (mint)
  10. Get 1 tsp lemon juice
  11. Take 1 tsp heaped haldi powder
  12. Prepare 2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. Take 1 _1/2tbsp salt or acc to taste
  14. Get 2 tsp heaped Dhania powder
  15. Take 1 tsp garam masala powder
  16. Make ready 8 _10 black pepper sabut
  17. Get 4 _5clove
  18. Make ready 1 big stick darchini
  19. Get 3 black illichi
  20. Get 1 tsp zeera white
  21. Make ready Water as required

And this Aloo Ki Tahari or the Vegetable Tahari recipe is the perfect dish for me which gets cooked pretty easily without much fuss. An interesting part of this recipe is that the Aloo Ki Tahari-Vegetable Tahari recipe is cooked with the jeera kasala rice or the normal ponni rice. You can experiment it with any kind of rice you like. Aloo Matar Gobhi Ki Tahri is a delicious rice dish from the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. the rice is cooked along with subtle spices and vegetables to make this dish.

Instructions to make Alu ki Tahri:
  1. Cut all vegetables, take out all ingredients required
  2. Wash and soak rice
  3. Heat oil and add sabut garam masala except zeera, add onions
  4. When onions start changing colour add cumin (zeera)
  5. Onions ko medium brown karen not dark brown, add haldi, red chilli powder, coriander powder and fry with 1/4cup water add salt
  6. Add tomatoes and cook covered till soft, bhun lein
  7. Add ginger garlic paste and fry (bhun lein)
  8. Add potatoes and bhunai karen add 3 green chillies cut and dahi dal ke achi tarha bhun lein sath Podina aur lemon juice dalen.
  9. When oil comes up and potatoes are 3/4cooked add hot water and cook, check salt. Agar kam lage to add kar lein.
  10. Add soaked rice when water is boiling mix well with spoon than put flame to medium than low when water dries, sprinkle garam masala, green chillies and mint.
  11. Put on dum for 10_15mins and mix rice.
  12. These rice should be soft and moist not dry.
  13. Serve with salad, raita chutney achar, green chillies chutney.
